Dr. Yi-Wen Chen's research focuses on child protection, particularly the clinical competencies of healthcare professionals in identifying and managing child maltreatment, as well as the care and prevention of abusive head trauma. She has been involved in the development and validation of instruments related to competency on child maltreatment and awareness of abusive head trauma, with findings published in peer-reviewed journals.
